National Television Awards postponed to later date after the Queen’s death

The 2022 National Television Awards has been postponed following Queen Elizabeth II’s death, it’s been confirmed.

The awards show was due to take place next Thursday, September 15, at Wembley Arena.

NTA bosses have confirmed that the awards show will now be held on Thursday, October 3, at the same venue.

A statement from ITV, the network which was set to broadcast the show, read: “ITV and Indigo Television have taken the decision to reschedule this year’s National Television Awards.

“The ceremony will now take place on Thursday 13th October, live from the OVO Arena Wembley.”

Guests who purchased tickets for the event have been assured that they will remain valid for the rescheduled date of the award show.

The NTAS is an annual event that sees the viewers’ favourite TV stars featured in soaps, to live entertainment shows, be celebrated for their work onscreen.
