KOLKATA: Those looking for long drives over the weekend will have to pay extra at toll plazas from Friday as the National highways Authority of India has hiked toll fee rates across the country from April 1. The hike ranges between 10% and 15%.
The revised rates have been issued for all types of vehicles plying on national highways as the authorities hiked fees by Rs 10 to Rs 60, depending on the type of vehicle. Orders in this regard have been issued to all regional NHAI officials.
