Michigan State basketball earned positive reviews from a national college basketball analyst following its exhibition win over the Madrid All-Stars on Thursday.
The Spartans topped the Madrid All-Stars, 94-87, in the first of three exhibition games in Spain. In the win, former McDonald’s All-Americans Jeremy Fears and Xavier Booker starred for the Spartans and that got the attention of Jon Rothstein.
Rothstein — who is a college basketball insider and analyst for CBS Sports — provided a trio of takeaways from the Spartans’ win. Check out those three takeaways below:
Michigan State over Madrid All-Stars 94-87.
3 takeaways:
1. Jeremy Fears is special. Will have a "Cassius Winston caliber" impact as the Spartans' starting PG.
2. Small ball PF is still Coen Carr's best position.
3. Like Fears and Tre Holloman together in the MSU backcourt. https://t.co/1Nj6z8ieiZ— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) August 15, 2024
