Everton fans have been calling for Nathan Patterson to be given a chance after he was snubbed once more for their clash with Manchester City.
The Scotland defender joined the Toffees from Rangers in January in a deal that could reach as high as £16m.
He was tipped for big things at Goodison Park but he appears to have been lost in the shuffle of a manager change.
New Everton boss Frank Lampard hasn't given him a look in and though he's been a regular on the bench, he's yet to get a run-out for the first team.
Patterson was once again left out for Saturday's defeat to Manchester City - Lampard's third in four Premier League games - that leaves them just one point clear of the relegation zone.
And amid a number of concerning results, fans have been calling for Lampard to change it up - with some losing patience over Patterson's continual snubs.
One furious supporter wrote: "F*****g play Nathan Patterson, he's young, energetic, and a very good young player. Instead Lampard plays 33-year-old Seamus Coleman. Every time I watch Everton he's too slow and past it. Change it up for f**k sake."
Another added: "Everton still refusing to play Patterson is wild."
Ukraine defender Vitaliy Mykolenko joined alongside Patterson in January and one fan saidL "Still concerning that Patterson and Mykolenko haven’t gotten the game time expected from players requiring the fees Everton have paid for them."
And another was straight to the point as they saidL "Patterson is a good player, surprised to see him not getting a chance."
