Nate Diaz ended his UFC deal with a fourth-round submission win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 on Saturday that capped off an extraordinary week for the sport.

Heading into the Saturday night main event, a backstage brawl saw a Thursday press conference called off and Khamzat Chimaev on Friday missed his weight the bout. This saw Ferguson step up to the top of the bill, while Chimaev faced Kevin Holland and Li Jingliang took on Daniel Rodriguez.
