Natalie Imbruglia joined Coldplay on stage on Tuesday night at the third of their six shows at Wembley Stadium this month.

The 47-year-old performed with the British group and musician Jacob Collier, 28, to play her hit song Torn and sing a joint rendition of Summer Nights from Grease the musical, in tribute to Oliva Newton-John.

Newton-John recently passed away last week, aged 73, at her Californian ranch following three breast cancer diagnoses.

Imbruglia took the task of singing Sandy’s (Newton-John) parts in the rendition whilst Coldplay frontman Chris Martin sang Danny’s (John Travolta) role helped by Collier in the chorus.

Fans were also excited to hear the group’s rendition of Torn, which was Imbruglia’s version of the Ednaswap song which became her hit debut single in 1997.

One fan commented: “love your voice Natalie, it reminds me my college times, thank you @coldplay for the video”.

Another said: “What a combo !!!!!!! @natalie_imbruglia@jacobcollier @coldplay GOOSEBUMPS!!!”

Another user said: “Iconic! My 90’s kid is crying”.

Coldplay has been joined by old-school musician Craig David, H.E.R and producer Max Martin in their first two Wembley Stadium concerts for their Music Of The Spheres tour in London across the previous weekend.

David sang his hit 7 Days and Live In the Moment with the Grammy Award-winning band.
