Nat-gas prices Tuesday closed sharply higher. The outlook for hot weather to boost nat-gas demand from electricity providers to power increased air-conditioning usage pushed gas prices sharply higher Tuesday. Forecaster Maxar Technologies said near-record temperatures are expected for the Southwest this week, and above-normal temperatures will move into the Midwest July 23-27.
