Nat-Gas Prices Gain on Smaller-Than-Expected Weekly EIA Inventories

September Nymex natural gas (NGU23) on Thursday closed +0.022 (+0.88%).

Nat-gas prices Thursday posted moderate gains after weekly EIA nat-gas inventories rose +18 bcf, less than expectations of +31 bcf.   Gains in nat-gas prices were limited on the outlook for cooler temperatures to move into the lower 48 U.S. states next week, reducing nat-gas demand from electricity providers to power air conditioning.  Forecaster Atmospheric G2 said a pattern change will unfold this weekend that will usher in early-autumn-like temperatures into the eastern half of the U.S. next week.
