Fashion company Nasty Gal has just released its latest dupe of the sold-out Area butterfly top, for £47.50.
Shoppers can purchase the item online and give a nod to the return of 2000s fashion. The Y2K gem is expected to be a favourite during festival season, and was most notably worn by trendsetter Maria Carey during her early career. The trending top has also been worn by other celebrities, including Vanessa Hudgens, Olivia Rodrigo and Dua Lipa.
Fashion lovers can purchase it on the Nasty Gal website where it's currently discounted for 20% off the original price of £59, which is a small fraction of the cost of Area’s £1,686 version.
Nasty Gal’s Butterfly Sequin Crop Cami Top is available in one size and comes in three colour options; pink, purple and aqua. The garment has a low-neck style, with cut-out details and sequin embellishment. It also comes with cross-back straps and bow-tie closures.
Interest in the item has only been growing online with the hashtag #butterflytop raking in over 22 million views on TikTok so far. Nasty Gal says the top can be styled with denim shorts, beaded jewellery and combat boots. Currently, the high street retailer is offering 50p next-day delivery on all orders over the value of £50.
