Driver Ty Majeski earned a prime starting spot for Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway.
It will be a crowded championship quest as all final four pilots begin among the top three rows.
During Friday’s qualifying session, Majeski, a Championship 4 competitor, turned a hot lap of 138.180 mph, edging title contender Corey Heim by 0.030 seconds.
The other qualifying pilots, Christian Eckes and Grant Enfinger, will start P4 and P5 respectively.
Majeski, who has two wins and 13 top-10 finishes in 22 starts this season, earned his sixth pole this season. He captured four consecutive ARCA Midwest Tour titles (2014-17) and competed in the 2022 Truck Series Championship 4 event, ranking fourth.

Corey Heim Returning To TRICON Garage Next Season
With rumors swirling regarding his near-term future, Heim silenced the industry’s on-lookers by announcing he will return to TRICON Garage in 2025.
In the weeks leading up to Friday night’s final four race, insiders speculated Heim, who amassed a circuit-high six wins and 17 top-10 finishes this season, would command an Xfinity Series full-time ride or possibly join 23XI Racing as a third pilot.
Instead, he will return to the Truck Series for a fifth season and third with the No. 11 Toyota team.
With Eckes moving out of the circuit next season, Heim could trample through the field and record double-digit wins. His title bid last season ended with a late-race collision with Carson Hocevar.
