A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder during an investigation into a Leeds shooting. During the early hours of Wednesday (September 7) morning, armed officers searched two addresses in Beeston and Morley after a gun was fired at a car on Saturday evening.
The shooting occurred in Woodview Terrace, Beeston, when suspects fired at the car whilst on a motorbike, police believe this to be a targeted attack. A 23-year-old man has been arrested at Marshall Close, Morley, on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.
Scenes remain in place at both addresses whilst a forensic examination takes place. At about 2.30pm yesterday, armed officers, supported by a National Police Air Service helicopter, executed a search warrant at an address in Northcote Drive, Beeston, as part of the same investigation.

Two stolen motorbikes were also recovered and a man was arrested on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods. Neither of the bikes found were the ones used in the shooting at Woodview Terrace and officers are now appealing for any information that could assist with the recovery of the vehicle which is described as red and white in an off-road style.
Detectives from West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing to progress the investigation into the firearm discharge.
