Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has hinted Victor Osimhen could leave the club after claiming the Nigeria international will enjoy a bright future "no matter what team he plays in".
Manchester United target Osimhen scored a brace as his side drew 2-2 at Bologna on Sunday, taking his total to 25 league goals for the season as Napoli claimed a first Serie A title in 30 years. The Nigerian has been in outstanding form all season, with interest across Europe intensifying.
United are one of several teams eyeing the 24-year-old, with Erik ten Hag keen to add goals to the squad and ease the burden on Marcus Rashford. Harry Kane is the Dutchman's prime target, but Tottenham's apparent refusal to sell has pushed the club to explore alternative options.
RATINGS: De Gea and Malacia good in Fulham win
“He will have an important future, no matter what team he plays in, and is above all a good lad too," Spalletti told the press after Napoli's draw at Bologna. " His teammates love him, he helps them out and resolves situations rather than complains. He will become even more of a top player in future.”
Osimhen is behind Kane in the pecking order of United's summer targets, but looks more likely to leave his current club than the England international.
As well as Osimhen, United have been monitoring other targets, including Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani and Rasmus Højlund of Atalanta. Ten Hag is also a long-time admirer of Benfica star Goncalo Ramos and Ajax's Mohammed Kudus.
