Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka suffered a quick defeat at Wimbledon, losing to American Emma Navarro in the second round in just under an hour. The No. 19 seed, Navarro, dominated the match with a 6-4 6-1 victory over Osaka, a four-time grand slam champion.

Osaka, currently ranked No. 113 in the world, was competing as a wildcard at Wimbledon this year. Despite her return to tennis in 2024 after a hiatus to focus on mental health and motherhood, Osaka has yet to advance past the third round at Wimbledon.
