Nando's unlimited refills to end on some fizzy drinks from October

Diners at Nando's will no longer be able to get unlimited refills of one of their favourite fizzy drinks from later this year. At the moment customers can get as many refills as they want of beverages including Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite Zero.

The deal will cost between £3.25 and £3.45, depending on where you are in the country. But from October, the chicken chain will no longer give the option of unlimited classic Coca-Cola.

Customers will still be able to order the drink but won't be able to refill their glass. Sugar-free drinks will still be available for refills, including including Diet Coke and Coke Zero.

A Nando’s spokesperson said: "From this October, customers will still be able to enjoy an ice-cold glass of Classic Coke with their Peri Peri. Due to the new Government HFSS legislation we won’t be able to offer classic Coca-Cola as part of our bottomless offering, however customers can still enjoy one glass of classic Coke and then go bottomless on any of our low-sugar and sugar free options for free after that."

The change comes in line with the Government's strategy to tackle obesity. New rules will target the sale of products high in fat, salt or sugar.
