American awaits Medvedev in Open tune-up

Brandon Nakashima has ousted good friend and hitting partner Aleksandar Kovacevic to set up a date with rejuvenated former world No.1 Daniil Medvedev in his first ATP Tour final in four years.

The 24-year-old American is yet to drop a set at the Brisbane International this week, adding the in-form compatriot Kovacevic to his list of scalps after a 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 Saturday win.
