Naga Munchetty forced to leave BBC Breakfast mid-show

Naga Munchetty was forced to leave BBC Breakfast mid-show as she struggled with her voice.

The 47-year-old was presenting the morning programme alongside co-host Charlie Stayt when the issue occurred. During the show, Naga left the studio. Charlie clarified the situation saying Naga had "stepped away".

He said: "You may have noticed this morning that Naga has just stepped away from the sofa for a minute for a slight struggle with her voice.

Shane added: "@TVNaga01 morning Naga I hope your voice gets better very soon fingers crossed."

And Colin said: "Oh Naga, I was looking forward to my Friday fix of you on the sofa, hope you get better soon."

Charlie continued to present BBC Breakfast alone. The show focused on Jeremy Hunt's autumn statement, with Charlie interviewing Labour’s shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves.
