Following an injury-hit 2021/22 campaign, Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has now been labelled as 'injury-prone' in FIFA 22.
The Blues midfielder has only been able to start 10 of the 22 Premier League games in which Thomas Tuchel's side have played so far this season, with the Frenchman suffering groin and knee injuries at different points of the season, as well as testing positive for Covid-19 on two different occasions.
Kante has also started just two Champions League games for Chelsea so far this season, with the Blues set to face Lille in the last-16 on February 22, and Tuchel will hope that the World Cup winner can stay fit in their quest to retain their European title.
The latest FIFA 22 squad update has been released, with fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester United and others all receiving big changes based on their seasons so far. The squad update is available to download now on all platforms including PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
In the latest FIFA 22 update, the Chelsea squad has been edited quite a bit, with some players getting upgrades, some getting downgraded and some having very small attribute changes. However, in the case of Kante, the 30-year-old has had the 'injury-prone' trait added to his FIFA 22 profile, following some of his recent lay-offs.
Players with this trait on FIFA 22 have an increased chance of getting injured during a match, so it could see Kante have to be subbed off following collisions with other players on the game.
Despite this trait now being active on his profile, Kante remains one of the very best players in the world on FIFA 22, with an overall rating of 90 out of 99, making him the best player at Chelsea too, above the likes of Romelu Lukaku (88), Jorginho (85) and Thiago Silva (85).
In fact, only six players have a higher rating than Kante on FIFA 22, they are Cristiano Ronaldo (91), Neymar (91), Kevin De Bruyne (91), Kylian Mbappe (91), Robert Lewandowski (92) and Lionel Messi (93).
Kante has the same rating as world-class players such as Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Yan Oblak, Karim Benzema and Manuel Neuer.
What do you make of Kante's new 'injury-prone' trait on FIFA 22? Do you think he deserves it, or is it too harsh? Let us know in the comments!
