Mysuru: Students set up organic outlet to finance their education

MYSURU: Determined towards a life of self-sufficiency, five students, two of whom are studying SSLC, in Mysuru city have set up an organic fruit and vegetable store, with the aim of financing their education themselves. Aided by the Belavala Foundation, which has offered them the shop free of cost, the students will provide customers produce sourced directly from an organic farm. The store opened to business on Sunday, and the response was very encouraging for the students.

The eldest of the five students are Priyanka and Madan, pursuing BCA in a Mysuru college, while Vijay is a first-year pre-university student, while Darshan and Shashank are class ten students. Priyanka and Shashank pointed out the aim of their venture was two-fold. “In addition to financing our education, we want to promote organic farming, a sector we are interesting in venturing into after graduation,” the duo said.
