Mystery surrounds the sudden closure of one of Ayrshire’s best known kitchen and bathroom retailers.
Karol Janik Kitchens & Bathrooms, based in Callander Road, Ayr, has issued a “permanently closed” notice to their website information.
The family-owned business has been a presence in Ayrshire for around four decades.
And members of the public will drawn their own conclusions over its "permanently closed" online message.
Ayrshire Live phoned the firm directly today and an answer phone message said: “We are unfortunately currently closed due to a positive Covid test.
“We hope to re-open on Monday, March 21.”
The firm say they are a “family-owned business with over 39 years of experience in fitted Kitchens and Bathrooms.”
A sales pitch from the firm goes on to say: “We have a reputation built on quality and service, we are also one of the longest established businesses in the area offering a complete service from free design right through to the installation.
“We also cater for supply only retail and trade with a free design service if required.
“All items supplied by us are branded products and carry the manufacturer guarantee, and all work carried out by us including plumbing, joinery, electrics, tiling, plastering etc. is fully guaranteed.”
