Dog owners across Yorkshire have been reporting that their pets have been falling ill as part of a 'mystery illness'.
According to reports, the illness has been making its way inland from the coast, leaving many owners distressed and confused. However, a Huddersfield vet has announced that he believes the illness is a highly-infectious disease known as parvovirus.
Martin Paterson, director at Donaldson's Vets, told Yorkshire Live that a "significant number" of dogs have tested positive for the virus after experiencing gastroenteritis-like symptoms - or vomiting and diarrhoea.
