A Nottinghamshire nursery has been temporarily closed. Wollaton Village Day Nursery, situated in Church Street, Eastwood, will be shut for the foreseeable future.
The nursery confirmed its temporary closure to Nottinghamshire Live but refused to comment further. The reason for the closure is unclear, but it comes around one month after Ofsted found the nursery was not meeting some of the legal requirements.
After a visit on February 8, the regulator told the nursery to take five actions by February 28. This included improving understanding of safeguarding, ensuring all DBS record contain all required staff information and making sure risk assessments are effective.
Poll: Are you planning an event for King Charles III's coronation?
Ofsted said it does not comment on individual providers. However, the department has the ability to suspend a provider if it has concerns that children in their care are exposed to a risk of harm.
Providers remain registered whilst any suspension is reviewed. Wollaton Day Nurseries also provides nurseries in Wollaton and Bramcote. It is unclear when the nursery will reopen.
