A family is waiting to find out what happened after a 35-year-old dad recovering from a broken leg died suddenly. Sam Mercer had been joking and playing with his family when he died suddenly on Sunday.
Sam, 35, broke his femur in December and had surgery on February 14. He died suddenly at home on Sunday, reports The Echo. His brother Tom Hanlon said Sam had been recovering well.
Tom said: "I spoke to him at 11am that day and he was fine, he was joking around. Then I got the call, went round, and the paramedics and police were there. They came out to say he was already dead.
