Police have appealed for witnesses or information about how a man came to be badly injured in a Bristol street.
Mystery surrounds what happened to the man, who has not been named, after police and paramedics were called to help him at the Post Office in Lawrence Hill at lunchtime on Tuesday.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing a major emergency service response, with paramedics attending to the man, who was found in a pool of blood outside the Post Office just after 12.30pm.

The man was taken to hospital, and police are now continuing their inquiries to work out how he came by the injuries he sustained.
A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset police said: "We were called to the Post Office in Lawrence Hill at 12.40pm on after a man was found injured. The man has been taken to hospital and investigations are ongoing as to how he came by his injuries. If you witnessed anything, or have any information which could aid the investigation, please contact 101 and quote log 365."
