Myles Kennedy has announced details of his third solo album. The Art Of Letting Go, the follow-up to 2021's The Ides of March, will be released via Napalm Records on October 21. The Alter Bridge and Slash frontman has also released a video for the first single from the album, Say What You Will.
The video features Kennedy and his band – drummer Zia Uddin and bassist Tim Tournier – as employees of a school who come to the aid of a bullied and beleaguered student, leading to eventual triumph and redemption via the medium of a talent contest.
The Art Of Letting Go will be released via a bewildering array of limited-edition vinyl variants, including fuchsia, cristallo, royal blue, baby blue, marble rose, marble blue, marble violet black and solid viola, as well as an unlimited edition black vinyl version and three types of CD. Pre-orders are available now.
Myles Kennedy has also announced a world tour, with the new dates in addition to a previously announced six-date UK tour with Devin Townshend. The Art Of Letting Go tour kicks off at the Gruenspan in Hamburg, Germany, on October 27, and wraps up across the Atlantic at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA, on February 21 next year. Support on the European leg of the tour comes from Cardinal Black or Black River Delta, while Tim Montana does the job in North America. Full dates below.
