It's been another dramatic few days for Chelsea in the January transfer window. The arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk was as unexpected as it was impressive; co-owner Behdad Eghbali and director of global talent and transfers Paul Winstanley concluded the deal in less than 48 hours
The signing of the Ukraine international took the Blues' winter spending beyond the £100million mark – and has resulted in the club's new ownership group paying more than £400m in transfer fees since completing their takeover. They are still far from done, however, with further deals expected in the next fortnight.
Top of the list is a new central midfielder – Brighton's Moises Caicedo is viewed as a realistic target for the current window rather than West Ham United's Declan Rice – and a new right-back to offer support for Reece James is also being considered.

Chelsea have also been engaged in discussions with PSV Eindhoven over a move for talented winger Noni Madueke, although football.london understands no agreement is close to being reached for the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster.
