Mykhailo Mudryk has posted a cryptic message to his Instagram story following criticism for his role in Chelsea's defeat to Borussia Dortmund. The 22-year-old was replaced by Mason Mount in the second-half of the Champions League round of 16 first-leg, shortly after the German outfit took the lead.
Karim Adeyemi proved the difference between the two sides; the Blues had a corner and, as the ball was cleared, Dortmund hit the visitors on the counter-attack. The striker glided past Enzo Fernandez before slaloming around Kepa Arrizabalaga and slotting the ball into an empty net.
Mudryk was closest to Adeyemi when the ball broke and failed to close the youngster down, leaving Chelsea vulnerable. Joe Cole was very critical of the Ukraine international after the game, insisting that he should take some of the blame for the goal.

"There needs to be a bit of blame on Mudryk," the former Blues midfielder said on BT Sport. "When you are an attacking player, you are thinking to yourself, 'right, I can score a goal here if the ball drops [on the edge of the area]'.
"As soon as you realise that the ball [has been cleared], right: switch on defensively. He just lets [Adeyemi] run off him. I feel like quick players can lose concentration because they feel that their pace can get them away with it."
Graham Potter was just a frustrated by how Chelsea were caught off-guard. "It’s a poor goal and we have to do better," the manager said in his post-match press conference.
"We were pushing at the time and were the better team. So to concede in that manner is what we’re disappointed with.
"The players are honest and they know they can do better with that. We have to help them, of course, but we will focus on the positives."
With Mudryk subject to various criticism, he has posted a message to his Instagram story vowing to improve his form. He wrote: "I am here to show what a Ukrainian man is. A warrior. A warrior loves challenges.
"A warrior is born to overcome challenges. Nothing obsesses so much, the man who put everything on the line, as a victory. A warrior can on his way lose battles, but in the end the warrior wins."
