Mykhailo Mudryk faces huge Chelsea issue as Boehly eyes free agent deal for incoming Pochettino

Chelsea are among a host of clubs to have been linked with a move for Wilfried Zaha this summer.

Zaha is out of contract at Crystal Palace at the end of the season and is yet to make a decision on his future with a number of clubs circling to sign him on a free. According to the Mail Online, Zaha has been offered a £200,000 a week contract to remain at Selhurst Park but Chelsea are pondering a move with incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino an admirer.

That said, Chelsea are very much stacked for players in Zaha's position at present and while some of those could depart in the upcoming window, one player this could spell bad news for is Mykhaylo Mudryk. Mudryk has struggled to make an impact since his big money move from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, but in his defence has not yet had a run of starts.

The 22-year-old put pen-to-paper on a contract that runs until the summer of 2031 and so it is clear Chelsea have huge belief he will prove to be an excellent investment. However, Mudryk's adaptation period will take even longer if the Blues continue to take him in and out of the team, as he will be unable to settle into a rhythm.

While Zaha would provide both proven Premier League experience and more x-factor to the Chelsea side, his arrival would also see Mudryk's minutes restricted. Both players are far more comfortable playing off the left hand side so they can cut in on their stronger right foot.

Chelsea have a huge transfer decision on their hands this summer but given the amount of money spent on Mudryk's signature, it would be wise to place their trust and faith into the Ukrainian youngster.
