Mykhailo Mudryk has given Chelsea fans a reason to be excited ahead of their trip to Anfield on Saturday afternoon. Having halted their run of four games without a win and three losses in a row with a victory against Crystal Palace, Graham Potter's side now head to Merseyside with the ambition of stringing some results together to pressure the top four.
Although that might seem a long way off at this point, the Blues are continuing to invest heavily this month and have signed five players already and look set to announce Noni Madueke from PSV Eindhoven as their sixth. Four of their recruits - including the 20-year-old English winger - are forwards and have bolstered Potter's options.
With no Raheem Sterling or Christian Pulisic available for the game against Liverpool, alongside Armando Broja's continued absence, reinforcement was required. Mudryk is the most high-profile of those incomings and could make his debut against the Reds.
