Mykhaylo Mudryk responds to 'trapped' meme amid ongoing Arsenal and Chelsea transfer links

Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk took to social media to drop what could be interpreted as a 'come and get me' plea to the Gunners as the transfer saga involving him continues to heat up. The 21-year-old is said to be keen on a move to England and has made his feelings clear on his future countless times.

It’s understood that the Gunners have submitted a second bid for the Ukraine international after seeing their initial £55million bid rejected last week. A second offer in the region of £60m has been made for Mudryk, with personal terms reportedly agreed between the player and club.

Mudryk has previously made his intentions over a move to the Emirates Stadium clear with a series of social media hints and cryptic messages. The 21-year-old posted a video on Instagram of him watching the north Londoners in action against West Ham on Boxing Day before calling Mikel Arteta a 'top coach' on the same platform.

After sparking excitement amongst Arsenal supporters with clips filmed in a hotel that it was claimed was in London, Mudryk has been at it again with another hint on social media. The winger liked a picture from @arsenal_memes__ that shows the Shakhtar forward pictured behind bars with the Shakhtar Donetsk badge behind him.

The post was published three days ago but the Gunners target recently liked the post to further add to the intrigue amid links to the Premier League. Mudryk's action has resulted in a section of supporters start the hashtag #freemudryk as talks over a possible move continue.

For some time, it seemed Arsenal were almost certain to land Mudryk after pushing ahead with their long interest. However, London rivals Chelsea are said to be keen and are on stand-by in-case the Gunners refuse to meet Shakhtar's demands.

But, if Mudryk's actions online are anything to go by, a move to north London is the aim. Previously, in an interview with Ben Jacobs, Mudryk insisted he wouldn't be able to say no to a move to Mikel Arteta's side. The ball is in Arsenal's court.
