HYDERABAD: Nitish Kumar Reddy, who came in when Sunrisers Hyderabad were struggling at 35/2, played his role to perfection with an unbeaten 76 (42b) in his side's thrilling last-ball one-run victory over Rajasthan Royals.
"My role is to play till the 13th or 14th over and give (Heinrich) Klaasen the license to go bang bang," the Andhra lad said on Thursday night. "There is no point if Klaasen and Samad come in 8th or 6th over and struggle to score. I saw (Yuzvendra) Chahal coming to bowl and I backed myself to go after him. That went pretty well."
