A Jeep Wrangler buyer says he’s still stunned after a dealership finance manager allegedly exploded over a simple $500 price difference, turning what he expected to be a straightforward negotiation into a tense and aggressive confrontation.
The shopper detailed the experience in a Reddit post, beginning “My mind is blown.” According to the post, he inspected a used Wrangler listed for “~29k and change” and offered the full asking “‘out the door’ cash deal.” He noted that starting with an out-the-door offer is his usual approach, writing, “Never had bad luck.” The vehicle appeared reasonably priced based on Autotrader listings, though it had a wreck according to Carfax, and it had a few dings. “Nothing bad,” the post said.
