Kami Leatherbarrow treated her little brother Rhys to chicken and chips on the day he died. Knowing he was feeling unwell with a headache and runny nose, she wanted to cheer him up with his favourite meal.
That meal would be his last. Little did the family know, sepsis was shutting down Rhys' body with every minute that passed. Less than 36 hours later, he was dead.
