Roy Keane criticised Angel Di Maria for his role in Saudi Arabia’s winning goal in their shock 2-1 win over Argentina in Tuesday’s World Cup clash.
The former Manchester United winger - who left United for PSG in 2015 after one season - was easily beaten by Salem Al Dawsari before the winger fired in his country’s extraordinary second of the afternoon.
Keane was aghast with Di Maria's defending for the winner, and was critical of Argentina's performance in general. Speaking on ITV over footage of the goal, he said: “There’s no aggression, there’s bodies there, you’ve got to go attack there, they’ve lost all composure. They’ve lost their heads, look at Di Maria… Di Maria, my god.”

Argentina went ahead via a Lionel Messi penalty on 10 minutes before having three first-half goals ruled out for offside.
Saudi Arabia stunned them after the break, equalising within three minutes through Saleh Al-Shehri’s effort prior to Al Dawsari’s goal five minutes later. Keane praised the underdogs, describing their efforts as “absolutely amazing”.
He said: “One-nil down you’re thinking they’re hanging in there, surviving, on the ropes. They get a goal back and went on to win the game.
“But it’s a great reminder to anybody watching the game of football, if you think you can turn up with just your quality to get you over the line, you’re sadly mistaken.
"Argentina were really dreadful second-half, all credit to Saudi Arabia, stayed in the game, competed, amazing result.”
