'My dad's the UK's richest Gypsy - I'm following in his footsteps to make millions'

The daughter of the 'UK's richest Gypsy' says she wants to follow in his footsteps so she too can make millions - if not billions, just like her old man.

Elizabeth Best runs a mobile home park for her dad, billionaire Alfie Best - who has recently starred in a documentary about his life, called Gypsy Billionaire.

Alfie owns the UK's largest residential home parks empire with his company, Wyldecrest Parks, operating 97 sites up and down the country, which is believed to be worth a staggering £700 million.

Despite dropping out of school when she was just 11, Elizabeth is determined to match his success and vows to continue growing the business to enhance the Best family name.

Currently, Elizabeth runs one of her dad's parks in Windsor, as The Sun reports, and in the recent documentary by Vandercom Films, she explains why the business means so much to her.

She said: "We grew up on a park, we grew up learning and interacting and spending time and making relationships with the residents."

In the documentary, Elizabeth explains she wants to continue growing her father's empire, and Alfie is clearly over the moon that she wants to keep them in profit.

He argues that his daughter has earned her success, by starting at the bottom rather than walking straight into a high-profile job.

"She's meticulously and slowly worked through it. And she's worked from the ranks up," he commented.

Alfie, 53, who was born during a snow blizzard in a caravan on the side of a road near Leicester, received an offer of £950m for the businesses he founded - but turned it down.

Even though the lucrative offer would have made him a billionaire, the dad, who is reportedly worth a whopping £700m, decided to turn it down and instead spend some of his fortune on a new helicopter.

He forked out a staggering £4.5million on the brand new chopper - designed by Aston Martin - and is just one of 15 ever made.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: "This genuinely isn't about earning any more money. I'm of the opinion that once you have made five or ten million, then you do not need any more money than that."

Despite his impressive collection of possessions, Alfie insists he is still frugal - as he believes he could lose everything he made in an instant.

He claims he never spends "beyond my means", and added that everything is bought to sell - including his cars and his house. "I know the value of everything I have," he asserted.

In December 2022, Alfie splashed out on a gigantic £9million yacht - which he said he will use to visit the hotspots of the Mediterranean with his family.

While the dad-of-two previously slept in his car at one stage to make ends meet, he says he can now enjoy the fruits of his labour.

And earlier this month, his son, Alfie Best Jnr, said he has now found inner peace after turning to Islam.

He said he believed he is the first traveller to take up the faith, which has resulted in him ditching booze and instead studying the Quran.
