My Chemical Romance in a sticky situation after Dublin crowd erupts into chants of 'f**k the queen'

My Chemical Romance found themselves in a sticky situation after the crowd erupts into chants of “f**k the queen.”

The American emo legends played last night in Dublin's Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

At one point during the show front man Gerard Way was talking about how he no longer cared about preserving his voice.

He said he wouldn’t care if he lost his voice even if he was “performing for the Queen of England.”

The crowd promptly burst into chanting “f**k the queen,” much to the singer's horror.

Videos quickly went up on Twitter and users shared their amusement at the scenario.

My Chemical Romance in Dublin was amazing,” tweeted one person, “Absolutely incredible. I've shell shock here but I'm still recovering from laughing at Gerard Way's face when tens of thousands of people chanted “F**K THE QUEEN” at her mere mention in an anecdote. Absolutely creased.”

The band are on the European leg of their reunion tour after breaking up back in 2012.

They made their debut in 2002 with the independently released album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love and went on to sign to Reprise Records the following year and made their major label debut with 2004's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

My Chemical Romance are due to play the venue again tonight.
