When it comes to street food, we reckon we're right up there with the best cities in the world.
From awesome street food markets to snack-sized shacks serving up the best in Scottish and international cuisine, there's flavour-packed street food for everyone in all corners of the Capital.
And that's been backed up by a recent round-up of the best street food spots across the country, produced by the national tourist board, Visit Scotland.

They list a total of 18-must try eateries throughout Scotland, with a grand total of six in Edinburgh alone, more than any other city.
Here's where they suggest you stop off at in the capital:
Chick + Pea
Visit Scotland say of the popular Middle Eastern street food truck: "Enjoy Scottish food with a Middle Eastern twist.
"Chick + Pea offers tasty treats ranging from haggis kibbeh with chermoula mayo to cauliflower shawarma with a pomegranate and tahini sauce."

Moskito Spanish Bites
Another food truck, which serves up showstopping Spanish cuisine, Visit Scotland commented: "This 2018 finalist at the Scottish Street Food Awards serves delicious traditional Spanish tapas from a vintage horse box trailer."

The Buffalo Truck
A legendary name and award winner on the street food scene, Visit Scotland said of The Buffalo Truck: "In the mood for some crispy bites?
"This two-time Scottish Street Food Awards champion offers divine buttermilk fried chicken burgers."

The Jingle Bus
Known for its popular Indian ice cream in the summer time, Visit Scotland said, describing the iconic food spot, say: "The Jingle Bus is an enterprise by Khushi’s, Edinburgh’s oldest Indian restaurant.
"It offers tasty treats like filled curry wraps, well-known Indian snacks and Kulfi".

The Peruvian
Bringing exotic Latin American flavours to Edinburgh, Visit Scotland included The Peruvian and said: "This finalist at the 2019 Scottish Street Food Awards brings the unique taste of the Andes to Scotland, including the iconic fruity drink, Inca Kola."

Wanderers Kneaded
Of course, there had to be a pizza place included in the list, with Visit Scotland praising Wanderers Kneaded; "Enjoy a homemade sourdough pizza with fresh, sustainable produce from a wood-fired oven at this old-school food truck."
