'Muslim-sounding' radio message from missing F-15 airman sparked Iran trap fears, nearly jeopardised rescue

US President Donald Trump revealed that a brief radio message from downed F-15 airman initially triggered alarm in Washington, with officials fearing it could be an Iranian ploy to lure American forces into a trap.

"What he said on the radio sounded like something a Muslim would say," Trump told Axios on Sunday.
