Musical Lineup Revealed For Ninth Annual Platino Awards Ceremony

Ana Guerra, Ana Mena, Ángela Aguilar, David Bisbal, Diana Hoyos, Gerónimo Rauch, Májida Issa, Mariaca Semprún, and Monsieur Periné to perform.

The ninth annual Platino Awards is gearing up to be a star-studded event with a lineup of talented musical performers set to grace the stage. The ceremony, scheduled for April 20 at the Gran Tlacho theater at Xcaret Park in Riviera Maya, will feature performances by Ana Guerra, Ana Mena, Ángela Aguilar, David Bisbal, Diana Hoyos, Gerónimo Rauch, Májida Issa, Mariaca Semprún, and Monsieur Periné.

The event organizers have revealed that the night will showcase original compositions, including a special performance by Hoyos and Rauch to a score by composer Lucas Vidal. The diverse roster of talent aims to highlight the richness of Ibero-American stars and music.

Representing various countries, the performers bring a mix of styles and influences to the ceremony. Guerra, Mena, and Bisbal hail from Spain, while Aguilar represents Mexico. Hoyos, Issa, and Monsieur Periné come from Colombia, Rauch from Argentina, and Semprún from Venezuela.

Traditional Mexican music will have a significant presence at the event, with Guerra, Issa, and Semprún set to showcase this cultural heritage. Mena will pay tribute to Rocío Dúrcal, a beloved figure in Spanish music.

Some of the performers are not only known for their musical talents but also for their work in film and theater. Hoyos, in addition to her singing career, has appeared in various productions, including 'Pablo Escobar, The Drug Lord' and 'Sniper: Ultimate Kill.' Rauch, a versatile performer, has taken on iconic roles in musical theater, such as Jean Valjean in 'Les Misérables' and the Phantom in 'The Phantom of the Opera.'

Guerra, who recently released an EP and is gearing up for a new album, has collaborated with several notable artists. Issa, a Latin Grammy-nominated singer, is also making waves in the film industry with her latest project, 'El Bolero De Rubén.'

Semprún, a Latin Grammy winner, has an impressive theater background and has also ventured into the world of cinema. Mena, an award-winning urban pop artist, has gained recognition for her albums and collaborations with other musicians.

Bisbal, a seasoned performer with numerous accolades to his name, has captivated audiences worldwide with his music. Monsieur Periné, a duo known for their unique blend of musical styles, won a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2015.

Aguilar, a rising star in the music scene, has garnered critical acclaim for her fusion of pop and regional Mexican music. With an impressive discography and award nominations, she continues to make her mark in the industry.
