Murder suspect who turned himself in may be a serial killer, DA warns

Marcelino Castro, 28, has been charged with two counts of murder after turning himself in to San Jose police on September 19 and confessing to two killings.
Castro led investigators to two separate bodies hidden along the Guadalupe River following his confession.
Prosecutors say Castro strangled both men, slitting the throat of an acquaintance in the first attack and striking a stranger with a rock in the second.
Deputy District Attorney Michael Gadeberg warned the case may represent the start of a serial killer who acted without an apparent motive.
San Jose authorities are continuing to investigate whether there are additional victims connected to the suspect .
