A woman was charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a dad in the chest.
Joanne Moran will appear in Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court this morning, accused of murdering Jonathan Gibbons at a house on Bridge Road, Litherland. Police and paramedics were called to the scene, at around 4.45am on Sunday, October 30, and the 50-year-old victim was rushed to hospital with a stab wound to his chest.
Mr Gibbons died later that day. A post-mortem confirmed he died of a stab wound to his chest. Detectives arrested a woman at the scene on suspicion of murder.

It has now been confirmed that Moran, 42, was charged with the murder Mr Gibbons. A cordon was put up around the house where the stabbing happened and police carried out CCTV and house-to-house inquiries in the area.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Caton said: "This was a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life. An investigation is now underway, which is in the very early stages as we seek to establish what has happened which has led to this tragic incident."
Tributes have flooded in for John, who has been described "lovely man" who "always knew how to have a laugh." Friend Stephen Hollinshead said: "He was a good friend and a good dad. He always knew how to have a laugh, he was a good around uncle as well.
"He will never be forgotten about I will never forget about all the good times we all spent together. I will miss you I could not ask for a better friend, your long standing friend with love and in memory."
