A murder investigation has been launched after a 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death in a park.
Detectives from Cheshire Constabulary have launched a murder enquiry following the death of teenager Brianna Ghey. Emergency services were called to Culcheth Linear Park, Warrington, at 3.13pm yesterday, Saturday, February 11 after the body of Brianna was found on a path.
The 16-year-old, from Birchwood, was confirmed dead at the scene. A Home Office post-mortem examination is currently taking place to establish the cause of death after Brianna suffered multiple stab wounds.
