Accused killer in court after man found beside highway

An accused murderer has faced court, two days after an elderly man was found dead on the side of a rural highway.

The alleged victim, believed to be about 80, was located with serious injuries beside the Henty Highway, about 300km northwest of Melbourne, at 9.15am on Monday.
