Munster prop Roman Salanoa has been called up to Ireland’s squad as cover for Tadhg Furlong.
Furlong, who is not fully fit after a calf injury, was not selected in the matchday 23 for Saturday's Six Nations opener against Wales in Cardiff.
It is hoped that the 32-year-old Leinster tighthead will be back for the championship encounter with France at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday week.

Hawaii-born Salanoa, 25, has impressed this season having got a run in the Reds front row and he played in the province's four Champions Cup pool games.
He joined Munster in 2020 after Leinster brought the former USA international across the Atlantic two years earlier.
Salanoa also featured on the Emerging Ireland tour at the start of this season and has joined up with the squad in Cardiff, having not been a part of the warm weather training in Portugal.
