Mumbai: Tribals, activists condemn govt for illegal tree felling at Aarey

MUMBAI: Several local adivasi (tribal) residents of Aarey Colony along with the green activists demonstrated at Picnic Point to "Save Aarey Forest" and condemned the state government for illegal tree felling inside Aarey.

The protesters reiterated their demand that the Metro-3 car shed should be shifted out from Aarey to Kanjurmarg in order to save the ecosensitive green area which is just next to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
