Mumbai Police seizes Mephedrone valued Rs 300 crore in ongoing operation; arrests 12 individuals

MUMBAI: In a recent operation spanning several days, the Mumbai police confiscated mephedrone valued at Rs 300 crore and apprehended 12 individuals across multiple cities, according to a senior official on Friday.

The seizure of 151.305 kilograms of mephedrone, valued at Rs 300.26 crore, was the result of a raid on a facility located in MIDC Shinde Gaon in Nashik district.

A team from Saki Naka police station successfully detained 12 members of a syndicate, who were spread across various parts of Mumbai, Hyderabad in Telangana, and Nashik, as per the official's report.

Mephedrone, known by several street names such as 'meow meow,' 'white magic,' 'bubble,' and 'm-cat,' is a synthetic stimulant drug.
