MUMBAI: In one of the first cases of narco-terrorism in the city, a 47-year-old man from Versova has been arrested on charges of dealing in drugs to fund terrorist activities. Among the accused named in the case by the Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) is gangster Dawood Ibrahim's brother Anees.
Parvez Zubair Memon was picked up from his house on Wednesday by a team supervised by ATS chief Vineet Agarwal. "He was produced before a court and remanded in police custody till August 10," said Agarwal. Memon, who spends most of his time in Dubai, was visiting his family who live in Versova.
