Mumbai: Man held for killing street musician in Andheri

MUMBAI: The Versova police recently arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly killing a 24-year-old street musician sleeping at Seven Bungalows' BEST bus depot in Andheri West last month.

The accused identified as Monukumar Singh was tracked 12 days after killing Suraj Tiwari who died after being attacked on his head with a paver block.

The police cracked the case without any clue about the whereabouts or any other details of the accused involved in the case.

"The CCTV helped the team track Singh who is a resident of Faridabad, and had arrived in Mumbai few days ago before killing Tiwari who hailed from Delhi.

It was during a fight that broke out between the two over the sharing of a narcotic substance after which Singh attacked Tiwari," the police informed.

Tiwari used to play guitar on the street to make a living. He hailed from Palam in Delhi.
