MUMBAI: With heavy hearts, devotees will bid farewell to their beloved deity Lord Ganesh at Anant Chaturdashi on Thursday. Massive visarjan processions will head from Lalbaug-Parel for the Girgaum Chowpatty seafront, starting with the Mumbaicha Raja of Ganesh Gully at 8.00 am followed by Lalbaugcha Raja.
Swapnil Parab, secretary of Ganesh Gully, said, "Our pandal of Raigad fort commemorated the 350th anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji's coronation. In keeping with that theme, we have for the first time devised a live act for our visarjan yatra where an actor will dress like Shivaji Maharaj and lead a palkhi."
