Mumbai: Fire in flat at residential building; no casualties

MUMBAI: A fire incident occured on Tuesday evening in a seven-story residential building situated in suburban Dahisar in Mumbai, as confirmed by a municipal official. Thankfully, there were no injuries resulting from the incident.

The fire erupted within an apartment on the fourth floor of the Sadguru Building, located in the Babali Pada locality, at approximately 7.45pm, according to the municipal official. Fortunately, the blaze was contained within that particular apartment.

Upon receiving the emergency call, four fire engines promptly rushed to the scene. Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire by around 8:30 pm, marking approximately 45 minutes of firefighting efforts, as reported by a Fire Brigade official.

At this time, the cause of the fire remains unknown, the official added.

It is worth noting that, recently, a devastating fire had swept through another seven-story residential building in suburban Goregaon during the early hours of Friday, resulting in seven fatalities and over 60 individuals sustaining injuries.
