Mumbai: Durga Puja back with a bang after two years of Covid

MUMBAI: A renewed enthusiasm is palpable among the Bengali community ahead of the first full fledged Durga Puja since 2019. From the serene monks of Ramakrishna Mission to the exuberant women who lead an independent puja in Andheri Lokhandwala, each is looking forward to the festival that spans October 1-5.

The family of veteran filmmaker Sashadhar Mukerji is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its North Bombay Sarbojanin Durgotsav in Juhu. Meanwhile Bengal Club turns 100, although its Puja at Shivaji Park is 87-year-old.
